South Korea leads with January shipbuilding orders
Clarkson’s data show South Korea took more shipbuilding orders in compensated gross tonnes (cgt) than either China or Japan in January, according to Yonhap News Agency. Last year Korea took only 8.2% of global new orders in the first two months, compared with China's 31.6% and Japan's 11.9%, Kallanish notes.
