Italian market sees scrap prices steady for January
Italian scrap prices remain flat this week while some mills are confirming that the prices seen in December so far will extend into January, Kallanish learns from both steel mill and merchant sources.
At the same time however, other mills are forecasting price falls for the second half of January due to struggling domestic demand for long products and lower prices for Turkish imported scrap.
