Chinese automobile production dips in January
Chinese automobile output dipped in January under the influence of a reduction in a car sales tax discount and the Spring Festival holiday, according to the China Association of Automobile Manufactures (CAAM). Kallanish expects steel demand from automotive production to finish the year up around 6.3% to 46 million tonnes of steel, and January’s figures are in line with this.
