January alloy surcharge falls on December
The January alloy surcharge projection from some northern European mills is down €78/tonne ($85/t) on December, market sources tell Kallanish.
This is due to the volatility and downward trend of the nickel price. The €1,005/tonne ($1,092/t) December alloy surcharge remains at around November’s levels. The latest January projection is now at an estimated €927/t. This week nickel is again below the $9,000/t level, market sources say.…
