Izhstal ramps up production with mill upgrade
Miner and steelmaker Mechel's stainless steel arm, Izhstal, has overhauled rolling mill 450, the company says. The plant’s production volume will thereby increase by 30%, Kallanish notes.
Mill 450 produces rolled round, square and strip sections from the entire spectrum of steel grades produced by the plant, including stainless, high-speed and heat-resistant steel.
