Italy's AST introduces layoffs, but less than expected
According to trade union sources who spoke to Kallanish, Italy’s Acciai Speciali Terni (AST), part of Germany’s Thyssenkrupp, is temporarily laying off workers at its stainless steel plant in Terni. The company has accepted however to reduce the number of workers to be laid off following discussions with the unions.
