Italian mills reduce scrap bookings in Europe
Italian scrap import transaction prices are mostly stable this month, with deals done from Austria, France and Germany. However, Italian mills have reduced order volumes from European countries, with one large buyer practically out of the market.
Suppliers in Europe continue to report a shortage of shredded E40 and high demand for this grade, together with good demand for chiselled E1 and demolition grade E3, Kallanish hears.
