Italian wire rod rises despite scrap falls

Italian drawing-quality wire rod prices are not seen decreasing as a consequence of the domestic scrap falls. Wire rod values have increased by almost €100/tonne ($121) from the low of the beginning of December, and transactions are now hovering at €650-690/t ex-works.
