Italian wire rod producers increase prices
Italian wire rod prices are edging up, after falling significantly in October. Producers increased their values to arrest the price drop and pass on significant electricity and gas cost increases. They are now asking between €820-830/tonne ($955-966) ex-works for drawing quality material.
End-users and distributors remain cautious with their purchases but are expected to resume buying in November before the end of the financial year.
