Italian wire rod prices see-saw
Italian wire rod prices are fluctuating as mills keep struggling with low import values for drawing-quality material offered by traders and producers from countries outside the EU.
Some domestic contracts have been closed this week at €850-870/tonne ($1,007-1,030) ex-works. The high point of the range is reported for low tonnages. Other domestic transactions have hovered at €800-830/t ex-works on average.
