Italian wire rod makers seek increases
Some Italian wire rod makers are seeking increases compared to June, mostly due to high production costs. Italy, together with Germany, has been particularly hard hit by increasing gas prices, which are forecast to climb again in September. Market participants say it is not profitable to sell at below a certain price level also due to high transport costs.
