Italian steel output grows again
Production volumes by Italian steelmakers have continued to grow further during August, registering the eighth consecutive month of growth, according to the local steelmakers' association Federacciai.
In August crude steel production rose by 5.9% year-on-year to 1.1 million tonnes, Kallanish notes. During the first eight months of the year the association registered another growth of 3.4% y-o-y to 16.1mt, Federacciai says.
