Italian steel output falls by 8.8% in September
Italian crude steel output fell -8.8% year-on-year in the first nine months of 2015 to 16.7 million tonnes, Kallanish learns from steelmakers’ association Federacciai. Steel production in September dropped -3.9% y-o-y to 2mt.
This comes after crude steel output in August marked its first monthly growth in the last 12 months. Between January and July, Italy’s monthly crude steel output shrunk by an average 10.2% y-o-y.
