Italian stainless scrap seen rising
Italian stainless scrap prices are expected to move up slightly on hiking nickel prices compared to last month, gaining €30/tonne ($34.3/t) on average in new February contracts that are being agreed now. This applies primarily to the more common grade 304.
Contracts for grade 304 are seen reaching €1,000-1,020/tonne delivered this month, up from €960-980/t in January, Kallanish hears from merchants.
