Italian stainless scrap prices recover
Italian stainless steel scrap prices are recovering by almost €100/tonne ($110) compared to June after reaching unsustainable levels last month. The continued price descent due to the poor performance of finished products markets has threatened scrap collection, and mills are being forced to pay more to procure material despite reducing output, sources tell Kallanish.
