Italian stainless scrap moves up
Italian stainless scrap prices are moving upwards compared to last month. This applies primarily to the more common grade 304 and is due to the recent rise in nickel prices and alloy surcharges. Prices have increased by €60/tonne ($67.6/t) month-on-month on average.
Contracts for grade 304 have reached €1,090-1,120/t delivered this month, up from €1,060-1,080/t in March, Kallanish hears from merchants.
