Italian stainless scrap market quietens on low prices

Italian stainless scrap prices are losing €20/tonne ($22.8/t) in new January contracts compared to December due to the weakening in nickel prices. This applies primarily to the more common grade 304. This month however two of the merchants contacted by Kallanish have decided not to sell grade 304 for the prices that mills are willing to pay.
