Italian stainless scrap increases despite weak sales
Italian stainless steel scrap prices are increasing by €100/tonne ($118) compared to August on higher nickel, chromium and molybdenum prices.
Sales volumes, however, are heavily reduced due to a significant fall in domestic orders by large Italian mills, some of which have imported seaborne stainless scrap, market participants tell Kallanish.
