Italian stainless scrap prices flatten
Italian stainless steel scrap prices have remained unchanged in new contracts compared to those of February, merchants in the country tell Kallanish.
The market however remains affected by both sluggish demand from mills and tight margins. Sales of finished products are also struggling amid the general downturn in the European stainless steel sector that has persisted since the second half of 2019, sources say.
