Italian stainless scrap prices fall
Values for stainless scrap in Italy are falling in September contracts due to lower nickel prices, Kallanish hears.
Grade 304 material without blend is now at €1,170-1,190/tonne ($1,362-1,385/t) delivered. With blend, prices can reach €1,250/t on average delivered. Type 304 values on average rose beyond €1,200/t delivered in July and at the beginning of last month.
Meanwhile €1,600-1,610/t delivered is being paid for grade 316 scrap. …
