Low demand continues to blight Italian stainless scrap
Italian stainless steel scrap prices are stable in new contracts compared to November, merchants tell Kallanish.
Stainless scrap prices, however, have been on a downward trend in recent months due to poor demand from mills. As in November, low demand is persisting this month. The low level of orders for finished products is still strongly affecting the Italian market, sources say.
