Italian scrap to rise another €50
Italian scrap prices are seen rising by €50/tonne ($60) on-month in January. Values have risen €30-40/t in December depending on quality, Kallanish learns from market sources.
Some larger merchants have stopped sales in recent weeks and are beginning to negotiate for next month. New arisings grade E8 and shredded E40 are seen reaching €330/t delivered in January, in line with increasing international prices.
