Italian scrap to hike on short supply
Italian scrap prices are about to increase by €10/tonne ($11) in line with rising international values. The first signs of a shortage of material, such as for shredded scrap E40 and old think scrap E3, is also pushing up values.
The expected increase is for end-November delivery. Other European countries, such as France and Germany, are also expecting a hike of at least €15/t in December due to the current short supply for certain demanded grades.
