Italian scrap prices rise on short supply
Italian scrap demand is spiking, driven by supply shortages and low scrap stocks at several mills’ yards. Prices are increasing significantly, by €20-30/tonne ($21-32) compared to the contracts implemented at the beginning of the month, Kallanish notes.
