Italian scrap prices jump higher
Italian scrap contracts are increasing on average by €40/tonne ($48) on-month, in line with hiking German and French values. Some of the lower scrap grades are increasing by only €30/t. Demand for the higher qualities remains particularly strong in Italy and from northern European mills, sources say.
