Italian scrap prices reach bottom, some demand returns
The Italian scrap market has been slightly livelier over the past few days. Sellers report improved demand from mills after the standstill at the beginning of June. Values remain low however. Italy is the only country in Europe where prices plummeted by almost €100/tonnes ($107) in May and are now continuing to decline moderately.
