Italian scrap prices flatten
The Italian scrap market is quietening down following a buying rush amid the low availability seen at the end of November and beginning of December.
This month, domestic prices have increased strongly, by some €30-40/tonne ($32-43) on-month, in line with international price hikes and due to stock management for year-end book-keeping reasons.
