Italian scrap prices flatten
The Italian scrap market is uncertain, with contracts for delivery in the second half of the month stable compared to the beginning of June.
While the high grades seem to be stabilising at the level of €500/tonne ($597) and above, mills are trying to control the steep increases by offering €10/t less for these grades when they can. Their need for material however remains substantial and their scrap yards are not filled enough to respond to strong demand …
