Italian scrap prices fall
Italian scrap prices are falling by €30/tonne ($34) after the initial lull of early October. This is happening despite collection of shredded E40 and E8 new arisings grade scrap falling significantly due to the slowdown in the automotive sector. As in September, suppliers of E40 tell Kallanish they are receiving substantially fewer end-of-life vehicles.
