Italian scrap prices continue to rise
Italian scrap prices have continued to rise this week. This is due to stock management for year-end book-keeping reasons and is adding to pressure from lower collection rates registered all across Europe in recent months.
Overall levels are rising by some €40/tonne ($43) on-month, with the high grades reaching €390-400/t, Kallanish notes.
