Italian scrap prices climb
Italian scrap prices are continuing to climb after the rebound seen in the last week of January. Values are inching back up towards the peak seen at the beginning of December, recovering the €50/tonne ($56) lost in January and possibly more, Kallanish hears.
Limited availability is reported for E40 shredded scrap, as collection of end-of-life vehicles and chassis scrapping is falling throughout Italy due to declining automotive output and new car registration…
