Italian scrap prices are seen flattening
Italian scrap prices are seen as stabilising in June after some mills tried to lower their purchasing prices by €5/tonne (€5.4/t) last week. Scrap prices are also seen flattening in June in other European countries such as France. However, in Italy uncertainty and low sales of the finished product are significantly reducing sales volumes, sources say.
