Italian scrap moves up
Italian scrap prices are increasing by €5/tonne ($5.7/t) month-on-month as expected. This is in line with the hike in Turkish import scrap prices, Kallanish learns from merchants.
Contracts are in the process of being agreed for the first two weeks of February. The sources who spoke to Kallanish have sold demolition grades E1 at €255/t delivered and E3 at €245/t. This represents a €5/t rise on previous price levels.
