Italian scrap market goes quiet, prices stable
Italian scrap prices are stable compared to July. The market is currently experiencing a lull as steelmakers are taking advantage of the summer season to conduct necessary maintenance stoppages to balance demand and supply.
Mills’ have full scrap yards and are refusing to receive scrap. Some contracts have been signed at stable prices for September delivery, sources tell Kallanish.
