Italian scrap market goes quiet, merchants seek increases
The Italian scrap market is becoming quiet, with sales activity stagnating over recent days. Contracts in the Italian market are signed between the start and middle of each month. While some contracts are due to expire imminently, mills are in a wait-and-see mode, due mostly to low price visibility and the latest scrap increases in Turkey.
