Italian scrap increases again in June
Italian scrap prices are increasing by €30/tonne ($36/t) compared to May on strong demand from mills and a shortage of the high grades of scrap, sources tell Kallanish.
This week the new arisings grade E8 mixed quality is at €430-450/t delivered and €470/t for the high grade. Shredded E40 is at €440-450/t delivered and the demolition old thick scrap E3 has reached €410-430/t. About €400-420 is paid for E1, sources suggest.
