Italian scrap import contracts seen stable
Italian scrap import transaction prices from France, Germany and Eastern Europe are seen flattening this month as buyers and sellers are negotiating new contracts. Some exporters to Italy are asking for a €10/tonne ($21) increase compared to March mostly due to high transport costs, sources in the sector tell Kallanish.
