Italian scrap import deal prices increase
Italian scrap import prices are increasing this month for French- and German-origin deals by some €30-40/tonne ($32-43) on average. Demand from Italian mills is strong but German sellers are encountering transport difficulties due to the current railway strikes.
Material is being shipped by truck, for which prices have increased slightly, while availability has reduced due to the strong demand, sources in the sector tell Kallanish.
