Italian scrap import contracts decline
Italian scrap import prices from France and Germany are declining by €20-25/tonne ($22-27) this month and by some €10/t from Eastern Europe.
Sources expect European scrap prices to fall in August in Western and northern Europe but to remain stable in Italy as mills there are preparing to shut down for the August holiday break.
