Market foresees further pain for Italian scrap prices
Scrap prices in Italy are forecast to lose a further €15/tonne ($16/t) in the second half of October, sources in the industry tell Kallanish. This will also depend however on by how much contracts for scrap imported from France and Germany will fall month-on-month. Italian scrap has lost an average of €50/t since the July-August period, Kallanish notes.
