Italian scrap prices fall further
Italian scrap prices are in the process of falling a further €10/tonne ($11.2/t) for the second half of June depending on grade. This is in line with the general weakness in the domestic long products market and the falling prices of Turkish scrap, participants tell Kallanish.
Mills’ bids for scrap are lower than usual and import contracts from German mills are also seen decreasing significantly month-on-month, Kallanish hears.
