Italian scrap prices fall again

Scrap prices in Italy are continuing to fall as October starts, sources in the industry tell Kallanish. This follows a rough period for the sector in September. Ferrous scrap values are falling by a further €15/tonne ($16.4/t) after they had lost value significantly in September, merchants suggest. Demand for material remains low due to an uncertain long products market with low tonnages of scrap being sold. Mills are offering material at €210-215/t…
