Italian rebar weakens
Italian rebar prices are falling again this week because of the strong consumption slowdown from the private residential construction sector, market sources say.
Paid values are now hovering at €430-450/tonne ($458-479) base ex-works, from last week’s €450-470/t base ex-works. Including size extras, domestic prices are going below the level of €700/t ex-works and hovering at around €690-710/t, sources suggest.
