Italian rebar to rise again sharply
Most Italian rebar producers are not quoting this week after they stopped sales before the holiday and are expected to start quoting again next week. Activity has not yet resumed in the Italian market as the Christmas holiday break ended on Thursday this week (7 January) after the epiphany bank holiday.
One producer however has communicated to its agents a new domestic rebar value of €310/tonne ($379) base ex-works. This represents yet another €60/t incr…
