Italian rebar stagnates
Italian rebar prices are stable compared to last week, despite mills’ attempts at increases on the back of skyrocketing scrap prices, Kallanish learns from rebar buyers and sellers.
Local producers are asking for a base price of €170/tonne ($189/t) ex-works. Transaction prices, however, remain between €150-160/t base ex-works. The average transaction price including €260/t size extras is now at €410-420/t ex-works, sources say.
