Italian rebar prices weaken further
Italian rebar prices are falling again by €20/tonne ($23) compared to last week, sources tell Kallanish.
Domestic sales are particularly weak, with buyers ordering substantially less than usual and then waiting. Small contracts are being implemented every week as distributors, particularly, are refusing to commit to larger volumes. Domestic rebar prices are forecast to keep falling in line with declining prices for scrap, pig iron and iron ore.
