Italian rebar prices lose €50
Italian rebar mill transaction and offer prices are both falling compared to last week. The market continues to be quiet, with values having lost a total of €50/tonne ($60) on average month-on-month, in line with declining scrap prices, Kallanish notes.
This week, contracts for domestic rebar are at €300-310/t base ex-works. Including €260/t size extras, the finished price hovers around €560-570/t ex-works, sources say.
