Italian rebar prices jump
Italian rebar contracts and asking prices are increasing again, by a further €30/tonne ($36/t) compared to last week. This is in line with domestic scrap price hikes, Kallanish learns from market participants.
From €150-160/t base ex-works last week, contracts for domestic rebar are now being concluded at €160-200/t base ex-works. Including €260/t size extras, rebar has now jumped to €420-460/t ex-works.
