Italian rebar prices flatten
Italian rebar prices have remained stable month-on-month but are the lowest in Western Europe as demand from the construction sector is patchy, buyers and agents tell Kallanish.
For May delivery transactions start at €200/tonne ($223/t) base ex-works and rise to €210/t for low tonnages. Including size extras the finished range is €470/t ex-works. Buyers in the south pay €25-30/t on top for transport from the Brescia area, sources say.
