Italian rebar offers fall on weak activity
Asking prices for Italian rebar are decreasing by €20/tonne ($21/t) on average compared to April, Kallanish learns from market sources.
Rebar producers increased their prices before halting production in March before pushing them up again before reopening last week to €170/t ex-works. However, virtually no transactions were agreed at €160-170/t base ex-works and most producers are now back asking €140-145/t base ex-works.
